Will it affect my F1 visa chances if my primary sponsor (my father) has lower income, but my brother (who isn’t my official sponsor) is the main contributor?

Hey everyone, I’m preparing for my F1 visa interview which is 2 days later. My father is listed as my primary sponsor on I-20 and has signed the affidavit of support, but he doesn’t earn a very high income. He makes about 8k per year and my direct cost is 18,000 USD and total COA is 23,000 USD although he does have savings of 25,000 USD and also has properties which he plans on selling and paying for my remaining 3 years of bachelors. However, my brother who works in London (who is not listed as the official sponsor) earns about 60-70k USD per year and will be contributing the majority of the funds for my education.

Will this be a problem during the interview that my secondary unofficial sponsor will be contributing more than my primary main sponsor?

You can have as many sponsors as you need, but it doesn’t sound like either of your sponsors have funds they can afford to spare really, so that may be questioned.

I was thinking the same, on what basis is your brother in London, a UKC, ILR, what?

Does not seem your Brother will have much disposable income.

Is your uncle willing to put the $23,000 needed for tuition and cost of living into an account for u to have available at the interview?

Have you applied and been accepted?

Have you paid the fee to hold your place at the college?

If not, why not a less expensive college like community college for 1st 2 years and study hard for possible scholarship , loans, or grants, to a 4 year college

I’d imagine $18k is community college! It’s pretty cheap for an international student.
