My GF recently got rejected for a tourist visa to come visit NY

On the application form she put my name as a contact information of someone she knows in USA but in the interview she did not specifically say she was going to visit me she said she was doing sightseeing.

The interviewer asked about her previous travel to turkey and who she traveled with and who funded it.  I think she was nervous and responded that she traveled alone and she funded it however I met her in turkey and I had to pay for her flight ticket on that trip because her credit card didn't work on the Turkish website.  The interviewer did not give any specifics on why she was denied just questioned how she'd afford it and told her to do more research next time.

Is our relationship doomed now if in the future we got engaged or married and now will get rejected for any other visas due to her previous responses?

She might have misrepresented herself.

Truth and only truth is valuable when it comes to US immigration.

I don't believe she'd get a permanent ban, most likely she'd be able to get immigrant visa, even if waiver would be needed.

The most painful part is she'd have to disclose any prior visa denials. Also, probably has to say "yes" to questions similar to "Have you ever lied to US officials"?

What is our best course of action at this point?

We are not planning for marriage or engagement in the next 1 year or 2 years possibly

Thoughts are for her to get Schegen visa and to go to Europe together, or visit Hong Kong / Taiwan which she doesn't need visa for

Then apply for tourist visa again in 1 year and I write a letter of sponsorship or something ?

Yes, visiting in a third country is probably best.  She can try again for a B2, but it will be an uphill climb.  What country is she from?  Letters of sponsorship are not needed for a B2, and often are seen as a negative.

Good Luck!

I'd forget about tourist visa. Seems like waste of time. Explore the rest of the world.

The problem is not the denial of a tourist visa.

The problem is not being truthful in previous visa applications. She might have misrepresented herself.

That is technically the law but the odds of it being enforced or discovered in this case are minimal.

If I were OP, I’d advise his wife not to do anything like that again in the future and explain how to be super truthful, but it’s unlikely to interfere with her getting an immigrant visa.

Also for clarity, I’m not advising OP to break any law, just noting the reality that his beneficiary is in all likelihood okay.
