So my wife and I, just had an interview. The immigration officer ask my wife to hand her phone to her and she didn't see a lot of pictures. The IO said my wife's phone was clean, that she might did it for immigration purposes. We didn't receive any letter about the interview result. She just told us to wait for 30 days. Any thoughts?

Sorry to hear it. For this reason I wouldn't even take a phone with me to interview...

Can you clarify this sentence:

Did what? Clean her phone? Or marry for immigration purposes?

What sort of evidence did you include with forms? Also what fresh evidence did you bring with you?

I'd be preparing for second interview (stokes) and possibly taking a lawyer with me next time. You may also get a home visit.

Good luck!

For her AOS interview

From what status was she adjusting status?  Tourist visa or student visa?

There is a lot of chatter on social media about the use of "burner phones" to conceal info from USCIS, DHS, CBP etc.  So, I expect they're cracking down on fraud by looking closer at phones as well as at social media content.

Most people (depending on age) will have an expected volume and type of content on their phones.  If she did not, they would wonder why.

Well whatever asking for a phone is not normal, presumably something made them suspicious. Difficult to comment with no information

You asked for thoughts ...

So .. based on all the information you provided and especially what you didn't provide, I wish you good luck and really do hope you get approved, but there is a risk you will get denied, so be prepared for that.

But either way, come back here and let us know what happens.
