Hi, I'm sorry if this isn't the right section to ask in. I just want to ask those who might have had the same experience.

My interview is coming up on May 8, but I haven’t scheduled my biometrics appointment at the VAC or my medical exam yet. The passport listed on my DS-260 has already expired (since 2022), and I’ve had a renewed passport since then.

The problem is, I called USEM twice, and they just told me to wait for an email because my request to reopen the DS-260 is currently with the Immigration Unit. They said it would take 3 business days, but it has already been almost 3 weeks.

Can I still proceed with my biometrics and medical even if my DS-260 hasn’t been updated yet?

Thank you for this. I scheduled an appointment for bio this coming Monday. Hopefully everything works out. Im just anxious on why my DS260 was never re-opened while people in the group chat im with got theirs  opened just after two days. Its been more that 3 weeks for me and no response even on email. Last week's call was just to tell me to wait.

Yea that's weird you couldn't open yours. I guess you can try and proceed with your schedules. Bring a printed proof from their end where they tell you to wait.

Plus, I remember the consul reopened someone's DS260 during an interview and the applicant had to go outside and do what she needed to do in an hour timeframe provided.

Goodluck!

Greetings!

My siblings also had F2B categories and many documents we updated. So, please make sure that prior to your interview upload all documents on CEAC just like how you uploaded the previous, just make sure to put the titles, as it is very hard upon screening on your interview and documents were not downloaded, (like new were not downloaded.) A big hassle! You do not want to go out outside the embassy and look for a scanner etc. to have it downloaded.

Documents like NBI, CENOMAR FOR SINGLENESS AND YOUR PASSPORT. I mean. if you think that is needed. must be updated and downloaded.

Goodluck!
