Hi VJ :D

I couldn't seem to find a thread for April 2025 AOS filers so thought I could start it off.

We only sent everything off yesterday (April 7th) evening, so I have no timeline updates to share yet but look forward to doing so.

We had hoped for a March filing, but life got the better of us. Better late than never, even if only 10 days from the end of my lawful presence! :joy:

If you have filed this month and have any questions or info to share, please do-so!

On this topic, I'm curious to see how Trump's pause on GC processing will affect us - and anyone who files in subsequent months. I am anticipating a looooooong wait...

That pause only applies to certain immigrants:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, or USCIS, recently directed officials to suspend processing of requests for legal permanent residency submitted by immigrants granted refugee or asylum status, according to the sources, who requested anonymity to discuss an action that has not been publicly reported.

Jaycel's application was received 11 days before her lawful presence ended :)

Yes!

That means they have been scanned and entered into ELIS (Electronic Case Management System at USCIS) and you will be able to manage your case via the my.uscis.gov portal once you receive your online access code

Hi everyone!

We are filing tomorrow bright and early! We are nervous but excited to get through this journey. I've done this before in a previous marriage (K1 -> AOS) but this time it's a little different because my husband in stateside on an L1A visa so we are adjusting and concurrently filing an I-130.

I hope we all have a smooth process and I'm excited to get to know y'all through the process. ❤️
