Greeting! My moms case is based in Manila US embassy, I would like to know how long do I get an update on the case after submission of the 221g due to pending medical from St. Lukes, for sure there are several cases like this since there are tons of people who are subjected for sputum test. My mom proceeded with the interview (Feb 11, 2025) even without the results of the test. Everything was good but since the result was not in she got a 221g due to pending medical. March 19 2025 we got an email from St. Lukes that the results were good and got forwarded to the US embassy. So my mom submitted the submission form together with her passport to the VAC (March 21 2025). Visa status check last update was March 25,2025. Any similar case and estimated time you got an answer will help. Thank you!

CEAC Visa Status Check Case Last Updated:

11-Apr-2025

Still Refused. 🤞 Crossing my fingers here, hopefully a decision comes out before the medical expires and plane ticket prices goes up and seat availability would be limited.

This could also mean they opened your case and reviewed ☺️ Hang in there, it'll change soon.

Embassy is aware of the medical expiry. 🤞🏼

No good news yet. Made an inquiry to the embassy, they just said that all cases are being dealt with as they receive it in order. What a long queue they must have. It is going to be a month now this coming Friday since they got the passport. I was just thinking maybe the Holy week played a role for the delay.

We received the applicant's passport on March 25, and referred the case to a consular officer for review.

Documents are generally reviewed in the order that they were received. Consular officers are also mindful of the expiration of medical reports and other documents.  We will promptly notify the applicant of the determination and the appropriate next steps once the review is completed.
