So...was he arrested because he abused his power or because he is a predator?

Oh I totally think he's a predator....

let me add someone in his position to be able to throw that kind of authority around to a child, with the fact that he's a sick f&*% ...is an extremely dangerous person & should be locked up forever.

Ideal (though unrealistic) punishment for that chopf#ck would be to revoke his citizenship and make him an illegal.

Slightly less than ideal--lock him in the same cell with a group of illegals caught in the act of committing felonies; they'll give him his just desserts quickly enough!

Doesn't say anything was ever done while he was on the clock.

True, but it doesn't say otherwise either. Although based on the information in the article it would seem to indicate that keeping this separate from his time on the clock was not a consideration. The article does state that he did give her his office number and his government issued cell phone number. Additionally he told the girl who he was and that he worked for Homeland Security.

I think if he had been doing it at work the Federal Police would have nabbed him at work, not at his home.

Plus, I sure if there was any proof of him breathin heavy on the phone or yanking on the joy stick while on the computer at work it wouldn't have been left out of the story.

I'm not saying what he did if true is right, just that you can't assume he was a slacker at work or hang this on DHS.

Just consider this is the original press release...there is much that has yet to be said about this man....regardless of on the clock or not WE are paying this man...

As a government employee I just think that what you do on your own time isn't any of work's business. If I put in 8 hours and do my job they have nothing to say if want to go home and drown cats. Not that I would ever drown a cat. They swim too well. LOL

Giving the woman(thinking she was a minor) both govt work and cell numbers is an abuse of his position in Govt. regardless of where he was committing the offense(Once again WE pay for those items). It indicates to me that he would have happily accepted her calls during working hours, if it hadn't already ocurred. As for what you do on your own time, many millions are affected by thier companies involvement in what they purse after business hours, drug testing is only one example of that invasion.

mdyoung, if he were drowning cats that would be one thing.

He was engaging in child endangerment. Quite another thing in my book.

Agree there Becca, work or home, doing that is totally wrong

I heard this morning why he's been taken off the job. He had a security clearance and they pulled his clearance. In that case I agree that this should affect his job, because in a secure job you aren't supposed to be telling people where you work, especially to some kid over the Internet.

What good would that do? The road for illegals to legal status is being paved as I type this...

If this creep indeed tried to seduce kids over the internet, his a$$ belongs in jail.

My husband sent me a link to that news story this morning and we just thought "What an evil, warped little man he is. I hope he gets punished severely and not just a rap on the knuckles".

To me, he's a coward...he focusses in on children because he can manipulate them easier. He's not a man...he's scum!

In todays article on cnn regarding this there is a quote that appears to indicate that he was infact doing this at work.

Before Doyle was arrested Tuesday night at his home in Silver Spring, Judd said, the detective had told him that she had access to a Web camera and that her mother would be away, so "he was eager to rush home from work."

Seems to me like that is saying he wanted to get home from work so he could talk to her, not that he was doing it at work.

Either way, what he did was obviously wrong and he should get the appropriate punishment.
