Hi. If I get a job in USA, does it allow me to get green card? Is it TN VISA or there are different types of work Visa? I go to united states every now and then. Will it be possible to reside in canada and drive to work and come back to canada and get my green card?

Thanks.

TN is a non immigrant visa so theoretically with an immigrant visa in process there could be a problem. In practice I have seen people do it without issue.

You can travel back and forth on a TN it is multiple entry.

There are no end of different visas that allow you to work, for Canadians TN is simple.

It would depend on the job and your experience. Plus finding an employer that would be happy to sponsor your GC (unless you qualify for a self pétition one such as EB1A).

What do you do?

Hi. I work in a bank as Loan Officer. Worked in different banks as Loan officer for about 8 years.

I saw job category list for TN Visa. It says only people with these qualifications, skills are eligible for TN VISA. Only closest thing I saw is consultant (but I am not a consultant of any kind). US government very strictly follow this list while issuing TN Visa?

Thank you.

Yes. You won’t qualify for a TN visa unless your occupation is eligible.

I would think you’d struggle to get an employer to sponsor your visa with that job tbh, presumably you’d need fairly good knowledge of the US financial markets to do that role?

Do you have a spouse and if so, what does s/he do? Maybe their job is more likely to lead to a visa?

It is up to you that you meet the requiremets.

That Canadian Lady who was involved with Holy! Water I assume was trying the Consultant route, very heavily scrutinised.

Does your Employer have a US Operation, maybe a L1
