Hello all,

A little background is that I have travelled extensively.   1 million miles was a starter.  I have a passport full of stamps.  Border petrol agents in most countries are pretty random with the stamps.

What I want to know is how should I put the passport stamps in the package?  There are 8 stamps on some pages and 3 on others and I need stamps from multiple pages to show a trip.  In a scan and print they suck to say the least.  To be honest it is hard to make out where they are from or the date looking at the original.  Should I scan and print the page with 16 stamps of which I only need 2 and leave it to them to figure out?  Or should I print them on a page and add arrows to the page pointing to the stamps in question?  What did others do?

Trying to put my best foot forward on the I-129F package.

Proof of what?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thanks.  That was kind of what I was thinking.

Unfortunately Poland and The Netherlands and Germany all put their stamps on a random page somewhere in the passport.  Ukraine is quite precise with their stamps but reading for the 2 of the 8 on the page might be annoying to the case officer.  But maybe they are so used to it they are not fazed by it.

You're overthinking. Stamps can be on any random page in passport.

Photos, Hotel receipts in all these different countries, seems like you have a strong case.

Why the K1?

I think the case is good, I want to put the best foot forward because I don't want to be one of the 20-25% denials hehe.

As for why the K1.

Everyone has a host of different reasons for choosing a visa type.  To be honest, for me, time is the single most important thing.  Money, I have.  I don't want her to work anyway so that is not an issue.  Not being able to travel out of the country for a period of time is not great but not as significant as the other reasons.  Getting married in Ukraine is not feasible for us and more difficult as well.

We have spent a lot of time deciding priorities.

You can always go for the Utah online marriage.

Bear in mind that k1 is very restrictive, not just work but also (international) travel. The beneficiary might not even be able to drive for a few months.

Reading is what? Fun-da-men-tal!

An old-school way would be to photocopy the relevant passport pages, cut out the "in" and "out" Ukraine stamps from the photocopy, glue them in proper order onto one or more sheets of blank paper, and submit that page/those pages via your preferred method.

Folks, this wasn't the OP's question, so let's avoid belaboring the issue, please.  :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
