Hi everyone!

I just received my letter of notice from USCIS, and I have a scheduled interview for next month. They said I need to bring my Medical Record Form (I-693), Affidavit of Support (I-864), and other documents.

My questions are:

- I did my medical check-up right before I got my K1 Visa in my origin country, and I did my medical check-up too once I arrived in the USA after I married my husband using I-693 form. But the last time I sent all of my AoS documents (I-693 included), they rejected my files because I put the wrong number of fee for that, hence, they sent all of the documents back to me. So, do I need to go back to do Medical Record again?

- Do I need to bring the latest I-864 form and its supporting documents too?

Looking forward to hearing from you all. Thanks in advance!

Were all vaccinations completed on I-693? Wad the form completed by civil surgeon?

Does USCIS have your I-693 now or you never sent it after it was rejected?

Yes, all vaccinations are completed on I-693 on my last appointment with the civil surgeon last year.

Right now, USCIS does not have my latest I-693 because I haven't go back to the civil surgeon again after my last rejection.

It seems like it won't hurt to bring everything. Do you have redacted version of letter to post here?

you mean my latest letter of notification about the interview?

Yep. Don't share date, time, location and your name. But at least text

So bring it. How long ago did you do I-693? After April 2024, it doesn't expire so no need to get a new one if it's complete.

Here, they are below.

I did my first I-693 in late August 2024 with my AoS application. But they rejected it because I put the wrong fee on the form, so they brought all of my documents that I sent to them back to my house. Hence, I need to reapply my AoS but without filling I-693 at the beginning of October 2024.

There's no fee for I-693. You only pay civil surgeon

From the timeline and conversation, what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong:

  • They entered the US on July 10, 2024
  • They got married July 15, 2024
  • They got I-693 completed by civil surgeon in the US
  • They filed AOS in August 2024, but sent the wrong fee for I-485 (maybe combined multiple form payments with one check?)
  • The petition was rejected and all original documents were returned to petitioner
  • They refiled in October 2024 with correct fees
  • Had biometric appointment in October 2024
  • Recently received an interview appointment notice with standard list of documents to bring

So yeah, just bring everything that was already submitted and anything else on that list that you may have

Good luck!

So, I need to go back to my previous civil surgeon and ask her again to re-fill the latest I-693 form and bring my previous I-693?

Yes, you are correct.

So does it mean I need my previous civil surgeon to refill latest I-693 form?
