Administrative processing

I applied for US visa from Amsterdam but I’m a Ghanaian native. The visa was approved during the interview however my Visa has not been issued I checked the CEAC platform

and it says administrative processing This is taking almost 30 days now and I don’t know how far it’s gonna take. I need my passport to Travel for my birthday but I can’t hear anything from them. Has anyone contact this before and Solve it?

AP can take months or years unfortunately, no way of knowing his much longer yours will be, although if they kept your passport that’s usually a good sign. 
 

But you can ask for your passport back if you need it to travel.

You can ask for your passport back if you need it.   AP cannot be avoided, particularly since you’re from a high fraud country.

Also, many countries allow applying for second passport. So you can keep one at US embassy and travel on second one.
