Shipping label with USPS

Hello everyone, 

 

Apologies if this is a basic question, but my fiancé and I are creating a USPS shipping label online to mail our I-129F visa petition.

We're unsure where to correctly place the "Attn." line. When generating the label, we entered it in the "reference number/note" field, but now it appears small at the bottom rather than formatted as it is on the USCIS website.

 

Is there a way to enter it in a different field so it displays correctly? I've attached a photo showing how we currently formatted the address.

you could try putting USCIS in the first name line

and the Attn: in the company line

It unfortunately then puts it like that then: 

Attn Line

USCIS
ADDRESS

hmm

then vice versa?

attn: in first name

USCIS in company name

 

Or what we did was just type it out how it should be on a piece of paper (or label sheet) and put it on the package

and just pay for it at the post office instead of online. you'll still get tracking and everything that way

Do it like this:

 

USCIS -- ORIGINAL I-129F PETITION

address

city, state, ZIP

 

If not, be sure that "ORIGINAL I-129F PETITION" is somewhere prominent and visible on the front outside.

This is what we did with our AOS Package  We had the ATTN: line in the label but my paranoid self kept screaming, "They'll never see it!!"

Told my partner to prominently write it on the envelope too, because I am paranoid as well haha! Thank you for sharing!!

In all instances, it's at least more precise to put the type of petition on the outside (I-485, I-129F, or whatever).  But anything is better than nothing.
