Thank you so much - I really want to cry right now and my overthinking is in overdrive.

Big hug!  It's because you've been at war to try and get everything squared away.  It sucks because it feels like USCIS is questioning and scrutinizing everything and you just wanna be with your partner and live your happy life.  You are rounding that last corner and gonna get across the finish line!

IMHO the last step is the most complicated and important. Don't be fooled by seemingly easy procedure. This is the last chance for USCIS to review entire history, deny N-400 and even revoke GC granted earlier if needed. As one lawyer says, it's their last real chance of putting somebody in deportation. I saw it with my own eyes. A very simple straightforward interview could have turned into a mess if I was too nervous or said something incorrectly.

Agree on this one.

With that being said - am I overthinking about the traffic incident AND the secondary inspection - do they need to be mentioned on the application?

Thankfully its not ME who is doing the interview its my husband and he is cool as a cucumber with all of this.

I don't think these should be listed. At the same time, I'm not a lawyer.

There is no record with the police about the traffic incident from what you've described.  It's all been handled through insurance.  There is no record of this other than insurance.

Secondary inspection is, as stated above, common.  Your husband wasn't detained.  He was sent to secondary to verify his records in the system.

So, overthinking.  Not news worthy.  Keep calm and carry on!

Ok so no 'Just Answer'

Has anyone talked to an immigration lawyer ?   Is there any paid online service where you can talk to an immigration lawyer or do immigration lawyers do paid consultations?  I don't need them filling out the form or submitting it, I would just like to verify a few things.

You can find lawyers here:

https://www.ailalawyer.com/

These are real immigration lawyers, members of American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Some of them do consults.

I never regretted hiring a lawyer to handle my case and represent me at the interview.

My case was simple and straightforward.

Here are the details:

Some of us have used lawyers and some, myself included, have completed the process without. There are very good arguments for both approaches. I see @OldUser has provided some resources.

If the fender bender and the secondary inspection are your biggest concerns, you would manage without a lawyer. However, this last step is a big and important one, and if consulting legal help will make you feel more at ease about this process, then it will be worth the money.

The recent news cycle and having a loved one go through this process takes a big toll, but remember that you and your husband have successfully jumped through all the immigration hoops and this is just one more hoop before you complete the immigration journey. You've got this!

So not detained - but would it be 'confined' ?  Does anyone think we need to include the secondary inspection?

Does anyone think we need to include the traffic incident and go to my insurance company to get the old letter?

I don’t see secondary as detained.  I wouldn’t mark it as detained. That’s more for someone caught with something illegal/questionable or held for possibly being inadmissible.  Just verifying in more detail isn’t the same.

If he wasn’t cited I wouldn’t bother with the accident.  They’re checking law enforcement databases, not insurance claims.

What is "just answer"?

Why would you list the accident? Even IF there was a settlement, it went through insurance.

Secondary is NOT being detained. You're over thinking.

It's a website.  Supposedly partners you with "experts" in your domain of interest and claims you get to talk to that expert.

Secondary, in my mind, is not "detained," and even less so "confined."

If you feel like including it, do so. I wouldn't... and when it comes to immigration forms, I am about the most cautious person in the world.
