Hello everyone,

My friend’s ex husband mailed a withdrawal letter to withdraw the I130 to CSC. CSC received the package (which included the divorce decree, withdrawal letter amongst other things) on March 18, 2025. On March 28, 2025, he received a notice from USCIS. What happens next?

7-23-2010 AOS package mailed priority via USPS to Chicago Lockbox (expected delivery date 7-26-2010)
7-27-2010 AOS package delivered

Her case will never get to the interview stage.  The case is dead if the petitioner withdrew the I-130.  Are you saying she is looking for someone just for immigration benefits?

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

@Crazy Cat yes; since her ex husband divorced her, she’s looking for someone to marry for immigration purposes ( she’s trying to stay in the US by any means necessary at this point).

That is going to be a problem....a big one.  Marriage solely for immigration benefits is illegal.

This is fraud... VJ won't support discussing such things. USCIS will look into her first marriage and won't approve second / third / fourth I-130 if they suspect fraud.

@Crazy Cat I’m not supporting fraud. I agree with all of the replies. I already advised her to return to Nigeria. When it comes to immigration laws, detecting “Fraud” is inevitable. I say good luck to everyone adjusting their status to live the American dream.

You are absolutely here soliciting assistance  on how to conduct immigration fraud.   I’ve reported this thread as it goes against the TOS you agreed to when you signed up for VJ.
