Wifey is making me insane with this issue (haha), so I am going to ask here so I can get a concrete answer.

So, she was flagged for a sputum culture test. SLEC advised that the interview should still be performed, which (of course) resulted in a conditional rejection due to the testing requirement.

She just received the results on 3/14/2025 (negative), and SLEC said they forwarded the results to the embassy, and we should send all our 220g documents to the embassy for visa issuance, which for her was just her passport. She sent her passport to the embassy in Manila via the preferred courier (can't remember the name of it). She is going nuts because she is seeing people on TikTok who were on the same timeframe as us and same testing process getting their visas already. I told her for every one tiktok video she sees, there are likely 1,000 people waiting just like us, but she is still all freaked out.

So, my question is, how long should we realistically expect it to take from Sputum test results to visa issuance?

3 to 6 weeks from USEM receipt of passports. I also read some waited 8 weeks. I am in the same boat, I understand how she feels. Tell her to slow down with Tiktok videos 😅

Here's my timeline:

I am on my first week since receipt of passport. My friend waited 4 weeks. It's really case to case basis and hard to tell. All we can do is wait. 🙏🏼

Thanks so much. We are heading into week 3 now since they received the passport.

Hehehe, yeah, I told her to stop with the TikTok videos because everyone's case is different. Thankfully, she seems to have accepted that for now, haha, but I know the can quickly derail with the wrong video popping up on her FYP lol. :)

Sorry to ask in this post but it came up in my search. My Father In Law just passed his sputum test and turned in passport at the Vac. It is normal for Ceac to show “refused” until they start processing his application again with the current TB test results?

Yes, its normal. Once they open and review the case it will change to either Application Received or Administrative Processing then to Approved to Issued.

Now, here is where I am confused. Nothing has changed on the CEAC site (no status change at all), but I just received an email stating that the LBC (courier) has received the passport from the consulate and is on its way back to my wife. Is this a glitch of come sort or does this indicate there is a problem with the visa or is this perfectly normal, and the CEAC site will eventually update.

The email:

Congratulations!! 🥰

Yea could be a system glitch. During my time I received a response via inquiry that my case is on AP but shows otherwise on CEAC.
