Babysitter checking for monsters finds man hiding under child’s bed in Kansas: Sheriff

GREAT BEND, Kan. — A 27-year-old man has been arrested after a Kansas babysitter found him hiding under a child’s bed, police said.

At around 10:30 p.m. Monday, the Barton County Sheriff’s Office says a babysitter at a home near Great Bend was putting the children to bed when one of them told her that a monster was under their bed.

The babysitter, hoping to comfort the child by showing them there was nothing, looked under the bed and came face-to-face with a man hiding underneath, authorities said. There was an alleged altercation, and the babysitter and a child were knocked over.

Well, at least they've held him on a $500,000 bond.  

 

I still don't know why people like this with a rap sheet involving children like that is roaming free.

Villalobos (town wolves, plural) is a fairly prevalent Spanish name.

Were he British, it would probably be the more elegant "Wolverton."

A man sitting at a bar after work shared with the bartender why he was looking so stressed.

 

"I'm not sleeping well.  I have nightmares about a monster under my bed, and I'm too embarrassed to seek help.”

 

A patron nearby overheard this and introduced himself.

 

"I overheard your story, and I am a psychiatrist.  Maybe I can help.  The first thing is for you to recognize that these are only dreams.  I should be able to help you in a few sessions.  Here's my card -- give me a call."

 

A few weeks passed, and the same two were once again at the bar after work.

 

The psychiatrist said to the other guy, “How go the nightmares?  I never heard from you, so I hope that you are doing better."

 

The other guy said, "Things are great!  The bartender helped me."

 

The psychiatrist said, "The bartender helped you?  You needed a trained professional to help you.  What could a bartender possibly do that a psychiatrist couldn't?"

 

"He told me to saw the legs off my bed."
