My priority (14th December, 2015) got current on the Visa Bulletin a month ago,  and I've been documentarily qualified since 6th August 2022. Will I get an interview appointment at Ghana Embassy this year?

Not sure where you’ve read it was current a month ago? It’s not current until April.

Once that happens you’ll be added to the line for an interview. It’s a long line in Ghana but it’s done by DQ date so I think you should get an interview this year.

My date is 3 months before the cut off date, so I figured then, it's already current. And they sent a 60 days notice a day after the visa bulletin dropped. So it's actually current in April regardless of the date? wow. Thank you for responding. I'm hoping I get it by the end of the year too. I'll update here when it happens.

To be current it has to be before the date in Table A on the Visa Bulletin. So it’s not current now, but will be once April rolls around.

I understand now, thank you very much

Just a note, once your PD becomes current, you'll be put in the queue for a visa interview. Here's the unfortunate kicker wrt the US consulate in Accra. Currently, for immediate relatives of USC citizens, the wait time for interviews after DQ is 17+ months. So, if current trends continue and you being in a preference category, my guestimation is, it will take you 2+ years to get an interview date, and during this period also hope your PD does not retrogress. Good luck.

But I've been DQ since 2022, more than 2½ years now. Why would I wait another 2 years?? I think I have 6 months or worst case scenario, less than a year to wait.

I see what you mean. However, in your specific situation, I don't see how you are currently in line if your PD isn't current. You get in line once you are current. Your situation may or may not work in favor but from what I am seeing on Facebook, it's probably going to be another long wait for you. Check your DM for the fb group.

My PD gets current this month according to the April Visa Bulletin. Thank you very much for the link, I'm joining the group.
