We saved all the photos from airline bookings, boarding passes, Aribnb, hotel and restaurant reservations to first meeting photos and so on and so forth. We arranged them chronologically - dated with locations and name of other people on that photo if there's any.

We also took screenshots of our first convo (2-3 screenshots), the most recent (2-3) and some that mentions love, building life together, marriage plans etc (3-6) . The "Search" function on each social media helped a lot lol :) We also took 3-6 video call screenshots (3) and 2 screenshots of our Whatsapp call logs, even receipts of gifts and remittances (if there's any) ---- everything in a word document then printed them.

Thanks so much for the info! It's so helpful seeing what other people have sent.

I would send a few screenshots of our first conversations and phone calls, but unfortunately we've lost those details since my fiancé changed his number a few times, and on top of that my phone broke, which meant losing all that info. Our oldest stuff is from 2018, not 2017. Also, we're on the phone all day long (literally), so if I take screenshots of our WhatsApp call and video log, will that be fine too you think?

Material dating from 2018 will be just fine -- excellent, in fact.

Sure, take a few screenshots -- not too many, and be selective.  Choose substantive dialogue.  And be vigilant to avoid any verbiage where you refer to yourselves playfully as "hubbie/wifey" or "husband/wife" -- this would kill an I-129F petition at the USCIS level if it's seen, and it would certainly hose the K-1 application at the consulate.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I'd have the go to the consulate in Germany, I'm not sure how they operate there or how much they would want.

Is the beneficiary German?  If so, it's a low-fraud consulate, so you need not front-load the petition package with TOO much "proof of bona fide relationship."

If the beneficiary is not German, it depends where from; for example, someone originally from a Middle Eastern country who emigrated to Germany should probably add material.

That's very useful! I'll be sure to be selective with the screenshots. I think I'll just stick to screenshots of our phone logs from the mist recent month.

I'm the beneficiary and would have to go to Germany, but I'm from The Netherlands.

So would you suggest we show evidence of all our trips instead of only the ones in the last 2 years then?

I've read somewhere that friends or family writing letters saying your relationship is real is considered a good thing too, what's your opinion on that?

Oh, absolutely.  A little from each.  Avoid going overboard.

Affidavits or letters are considered secondary evidence, and they're typically recommended only when other evidence is thin.  For a relationship as lengthy as yours, especially with multiple in-person meetings, I'd say omit these.

I agree with this too. You can use 2-3 of photos together for each visit most specially the most recent for the 2-year rule. (You need to have met at least once in the 2 years prior to filing.)

I like what you did what the screenshots and how you've edited them, that's really not a bad idea at all!

I'll try and make sure to do it 1 page per trip.

I saw on the USCIS website that they would like all forms and documents on letter paper size. Over here we use A4 size paper which I think is slightly smaller. Has anyone ever used a different paper size than American letter size, and was this a problem or do they just not accept it unless it's the right paper format?

Oh, that I have no idea. I'm sorry. I only organized all docs and proof or relationship remotely and my fiancé have them printed at a shop in San Diego.

It's been awhile, but I think that A4 is slightly narrower and longer than U.S. letter-sized.  Maybe keep this in mind when you're printing or preparing documents to send in, so that nothing on an extreme edge gets cut off.  Send it in on the A4, if that's what you have.
