Hello all,

My wife is currently awaiting her I-485 to be approved and to get a GC. She already received her EAD and SS card ("VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION"). We are planing to visit my family in NY (We are currently in HI) I was wondering if there are any concerns I should be aware of? I am planning on getting her a state REAL ID since she has a valid foreign passport but the last name is different since we are now married though I am in the process of getting her passport update but it will take awhile and won't be done by the time we are planning on the visit. We will bring her passport and our marriage certificate and NOA just in case as well. WE are just worried with all the changes that is happening with USA immigration we feel maybe we overlooked something or over thinking something.

Thank you to everyone that replies. 😊

Presumably she is also sorting out her driver's License? I think new residents to CA only get 10 days.

EAD is Real ID compliant... Jaycel just used it a couple of days ago on our trip to FL. We also brought her passport in her maiden name, marriage cert and her I-485 NOA1 just in case and no issues whatsoever
