The "Timeline" feature on the portal is completely useless

Happy to share  For work, I'm the manager of a technical engineering team and I shared this journey of the timeline tab with my team while we were waiting for Jaycel's EAD. They were speechless. Until one of them said, "If we put out a feature like that to our customers, you would have fired us."

Right now it's showing 6 months for EAD and 19 months for Green Card, but if I've learned anything from this site, it is that these estimates are always wild.

VisaJourney has now updated my timeline estimate to June 6-20; it was April 21 at one point two weeks ago

It keeps delaying my estimate as well... it has change already 4 times. It started saying 14-20 April, now it says 26May-9June. I am losing hope...

the visa journey estimate is going to be very inaccurate as it only takes into account those who fill out their timeline. which is probably only 50-60% of accounts and lets be honest probably even less than that fill out their timelines. don't let that estimate effect you too much.

ours has jumped from march 19th to any day now to past due to any day now back to past due and now it says may 12th.

 

the USCIS processing times still say 3.5 months for the I-765, which i assume that timeline starts from when they get your biometrics. so you are still well within that timeline.

don't lose hope yet! lol

That was yesterday. Today it's showing 5 months for EAD and 31 months for Green Card
