I am the petitioner and helpping my son (the aplicant)

He just received an email from the Santo Domingo IV CEAC asking him to log in and to upload a police certificate.

When he log in, he certainly can confirm that there is a NEW MESSAGE saying "Missing Police Certificate"

BUT when he goes to the DOCUMENTS ---> CIVIL DOCUMENTS,  all documents are received and accepted.

and less than two years, so it is not expired.

I could upload a new one again, BUT  according to :https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html

says: Please do not submit your new or updated police certificates to NVC.

So, what to do?

Has he ever lived anywhere else? Have they specified which country they want a police cert for?

No, they do not specify, since the email and the petition come from an Dominican email (santodomingoivceac@state.gov ), i assume it is from the home country (Dominican Republic).

and no, he never have been living in another place, he just stayed in Brazil for couple of months doing some nutrition and fitness related courses.

What date is on the DR certificate? It’s just that I notice it was uploaded on 30th March 2023, so nearly 2 years and I’m wondering if it has expired if you had it a while before that?

If not then it may just be that they’ve seen Brazil on his address history and not looked at the dates properly.

The certificate expires two days after the interview.

The date on the certificate is March 29 2023, and the interview is on March 27.

Hmm, very odd! Maybe they think one is needed for Brazil. Hopefully you can clarify it at interview.

Best of luck.

Thank you for the wishes.

Just in case he just got one from Brazil (although he stayed 70 days) and will get it translated and ready for the interview just in case.
