My USC husband and I divorced, and I've left the US and don't intend to live there again.   I did AOS from ESTA when I originally obtained my GC, and I remember seeing it said all over this forum at the time that if you're not a GC/Citizen and did this, you can't ever use ESTA again.

Given the current wait for B visas in Australia, I'm worried that I wouldn't get an interview in time for my deadline (when I'm able to take time off work that also aligns with when my ex husband is leaving the country for work and I'll lose access to the storage locker where everything from our house is stored).

Do I need to worry about being denied entry/held if I present at POE immediatley with a filled out i-407 and request parole based on just wanting to collect the rest of my stuff and leave, when I have proof of job/home etc back in Australia?       I know the obvious answer is don't look at the news, but seeing all the recent stories of folks held at the border have me worried that this could be seen as a red flag for some reason.

Never seen this.

How long have you been gone

Admittedly, it's been nearly 3 years since I was last active, but that was commonly said online (here and in other places) in ~2017/2018

By the time I would be aiming to do this, I'll have been gone 11 months.

Odd that I have never come across it and wonder how it orginated.

11 months and you can expect questions. You could of course be waived in.
