Visa in hand: 09-23-24

AOS Filed: 01-28-25
AOS Rejected: 02-25-25 (Mistake made on question 3a of part 2.)
AOS Refiled: 02-26-25
AOS Rejected: 04-03-25 (Bank mistakenly took out 2k, USCIS tried to get money whilst it was being fixed :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD)

 

Biggest delay so far: requested SSN on 13th of November, never received the card, got the number in person Jan 16th.

I know when we got our rejection we just redid all the forms again, just to be certain we were using the most current ones

Yeah I double checked everything 3 times and it seems like the only one that's outdated is the 485. I'm just worried about the stamps. But maybe if I add the green front letter it fixes that issue?

Approach #1

- Print and refill I-485

- Attach other forms as is

- Write a cover letter explaining prior filing was rejected and you redid the I-485 due to new edition

 

Approach #2

- Forget you ever filed anything, and assemble a fresh packet with everything newly filled

 

There's no right or wrong in my opinion

I think I might do #1, as it might prove I filed before, since I now (again) have to explain why I filed late

You need to include the bright green piece of paper at the front of the everything regardless of it you print new forms or not

since it's past the 90 days, yes technically it did

 

it think people recommended something like "K1 Visa - Out of Status"
