I have some questions regarding President Trumps Travel Bans and its repercussions on my Family’s pending cases (DQ Date August 2024 for spouse and children under 21) and assuming that His administration decides to add Pakistan to either the Yellow or Orange List of Banned Countries, what will happen then? How long will they be waiting for their Interview appointment letters to arrive? Will my family be able to travel to USA once they get their immigrant visas approved?
Or what do you all think might happen? Please shed some light on this issue.

When Trump implemented the 1st ban in 2017 , it stated Department of Homeland Security had 60 days to investigate the countires listed and write a report .  the Dept found it impossible to complete

and this happened

Except for the extent to which it was blocked by various courts, it was in effect from January 27, 2017, until March 6, 2017, when it was superseded by Executive Order 13780, a second order sharing the title "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States".

After which covid interfered and the Department did the following

Form DS-5535, the supplemental questionnaire for visa applicants, was implemented by the Department of State in 2020 and is used for applicants who require additional scrutiny related to terrorism or national security concerns.

New proposal:

Ten countries whose citizens will be limited from entering but not entirely banned, meaning they are required to have specific visas, were on the “orange” list. People of Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Turkmenistan will have to sit for in-person interviews to obtain a visa, the outlet reported.

so , i would think, and that is only my thinking,  the interview will happen and the Pakistan citizen will be filling out the ds 5535 with a long wait for the security checking to be competed.
