Hello Everyone!

I have filed the appropriate paperwork for the K1 visa with Nebraska (my processing center), about a week ago and they have received it. My questions are this:

1. Can she come her on her current tourist visa as long as she leaves b4 it expires or is that a no no since we have applied for the k1?

2. Can anyone please give me the names of hotels in Kingston so I can prepare once all the paperwork is there, filled out, etc and they give us an interview date?

Thanks!

From what I've read, she can come and visit you while the K1 is in process, but it's a little more difficult. She will need to bring proof to show at immigration that she is returning home, and not planning to stay in the U.S: car loan, mortgage/rent, pay slips, prrof of employment etc.

If you look at VJ's info HERE it gives 2 hotels. I'm not sure how up to date this is, and I'm sure others who have gone through this Embassy will be a little more useful to you than I am! ;)

On (1): Yes, but she will need to bring plenty of documentation to convince the officious at a POE that she's not simply planning to immigrate from the B-2 status.
