second attempt at citizenship. did not pass first time interview. next steps

Good Morning. My wife did not pass her interview for citizenship. My question if we need to do a new n400 form to set up a new interview or if there is a different form. The first attempt was several years ago. She passed the test but failed on the communication abilities. Thank you.

She should get second attempt and another interview, as far as I know. Only after second attempt she'd file another N-400 form. If she fails on second attempt, I'd wait before filing N-400 to ensure she's fluent in English.

Correct, we did the second attempt back with the first filing. You confirmed my question of needing to file a completely new n-400. Thank you
