Hi!

I wasn't able to get the HepB vaccine before my VisaMedicals appointment in June last year so the DS-3025 doesn't include it. Now I've had the vaccine (thanks walgreens!) and have the receipt from that.

Do I need to redo the entire medical examination using a civil surgeon now or can I just get a civil surgeon to transcribe the DS-3025 + the hepb vaccine onto the I-693?

I am having trouble finding a civil surgeon in Virginia that will just transcribe it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

xkl

I had my appointment in June last year with Visa Medicals and got the Hepatitis B vaccine on the day from them. How come you didn't get it on the day? Would have been easier to get it done there and then.

Continue looking for a civil surgeon to fill out the vaccine only section of I-693. I got this done back in January and I had no interaction with the panel physician. The nurse filled out the form and merely got him to sign it.

In your covering letter for form I-485 remind the person looking at the your paperwork why you don't need a full medical. Put a second covering letter with the I-693 form.

Hi!

1. Meaning it's HepB is BLANK? No letter for a waiver?

2. Is your DS3025 marked incomplete on the bottom left corner?

Start there. The rest below depends on those answers.

PS. please COMPLETE your VJ timeline in reciprocity.

Just a security question: which box has been checked on the back of your ds-3025?

does it say that vaccinations have been properly completed?

"K visa applicant electing to not be vaccinated at this examination" is checked - IIRC I wanted to try and get it on the NHS as visamedicals wanted to charge me for it

Under the "Vaccine Given By Panel Site" column for HepB it says "K1". There's no letter for the waiver column

But sadly now a civil surgeon will likely want to charge you for entire exam, which is probably more expensive than that jab you skipped.

Not many civil surgeons mess with vaccination portion only of I-693

Oops

I guess I'll just live with it haha

How long does the exam take and what is their usual cost?

Weird, maybe I'm misremembering and they just didn't have the vaccine in stock there on the day

Hmm I haven't heard of them being out of stock for vaccines before. How much did the Hepatitis B vaccination at Walgreens cost?

Yeah I can't imagine why else I'd have declined to have it while I was there haha

It cost $0 at walgreens

Cause you would have had to pay for it at Visa Medicals. Hopefully you will be able to find a Civil Surgeon that will only do the vaccination part of the I-693
