The O'Reilly Factor is the number one cable news program - that is true - it gets something like 2.5 million viewers on average. This is about a third of the audience of The View, which if I am to believe BoR, is the biggest affront to our nation since Tokyo Rose hit the airwaves.

LOL...

I thought this thread was about O'reilly saying that the last bourne movie was anti-american. 6 you bein the topic cop should know better than that.

As far as hypocracy goes it's everywhere, you know it, I know it, so whats the deal? I think I can answer that.

All together now :dance::dance: "I HATE OREILLY":dance::dance: YAY!

pssssst he is still #1

So what? He's making a stupid point about nothing just to draw attention to himself.

(i) The point he is making is stupid.

(ii) The stupid point reflects on him and his TV show.

Hardly a profound leap of logic.

BTW - are we back to personal attacks now?

My goodness arent we sensitive. (seeing a personal attack that doesnt exist)

The point anyone makes can be construed as stupid. Just like me saying here, that what you are saying is stupid. Maybe you should extend some of that sensitive nature of yours to good ol' Bill.

Of course what I just said is stupid, right? That was so stupid of me to say, oops. I dont think arguing about what you, I or anyone else "thinks "is stupid will get anywhere.

The View? Now theres a fine example of informative talk.

Comparing O'reilly to Tokyo Rose is gettin a little radical for my taste.

In the end, the America-haters will love “The Bourne Ultimatum” and apolitical others may enjoy the action and carnage. The movie is a perfect storm of misguided ideology, silly plotting and absurd conclusions. In other words, it’s a blockbuster.

and i'll have to mark today on my calendar.....you telling someone to have an opinion! oh the irony!

Meanwhile '24' - with all the "there's no choice" torture scenes and paranoid stereotypes is OK by Bill.

Uh, that's not what I did but since if the number of people who watch something is somehow an indication of how good or correct it is.....?

Also, you don't need the IMDB to see the Bourne Ultimatum was not released by 20th Century Fox.

No Charles. If I were being hypocritical - I would say those people have "$hit taste" for watching those shows, while at the same time I was watching (and secretly enjoying) them myself.

Hypocritical like O'Reilly - who picks one 'very loosely based' political thriller for specific criticism, while ignoring (and lapping up) a similar TV show that is airing on his own network.

If you knew enough about what and how I post - you might realise by now (if you weren't blinded by personal dislike) that 'one-size' fits all interpretations of large groups of people are not my thing. But that's giving your comment more thought that it is really worth.

So hypocritical? Hardly. Lets get our terminology right at least. What you are essentially calling me here is a liar. Rather a strong and specific thing to call someone without substantive proof, but that's just my take. And getting an apology from you would be much like expecting pigs to fly. So I'll do us both (and everyone else) the courteousy of letting this train of conversation end here - and merely report the offending post.

And I'm curious to hear that I apparently have no opinions - curious comment. I guess you can read back the 3-4 pages of this thread and tell me where my opinion is absent, assuming of course that I really care about what a troll with none has to say ;)

you indicated by your post "Up to 2.5 million people have $hit taste" for watching that show, and now you wish to split hairs about such? feel free to report all you want, at least i didn't run off and call you morally and ethically bankrupt ;) and need i point out that you're quibbling over what term applies to you, along with you trying to put such words in my mouth? it must suck for you to be caught denigrating a large group of people (which you later expanded to "7.5 - 10 million people..." based on what tv show they watch! yet you are so quick to point out to others the errors of their posting? had someone else made such a comment about a news show you agreed with, you'd have drawn and quartered them verbally, that's my point. now feel free to "get the last word" as always......

I think in the context of what O'Reilly was saying, erekose was 'giving it right back'. O'Reilly used a might broad brush in implying that if you like the movie, you're either an American-hater or apolitical. Selective outrage detection.
