How do you know when your case reaches the local field office?

Don't quote me on this, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I understand it is if you applied online, your case goes straight to your field office. If your entire file is there, they'll schedule an interview, otherwise they have to get your file first. If you sent a paper application to one of the Lockboxes, your case gets moved to the local office sometime after the biometrics appointment is sent. When and how they do that, I'm not sure.

Those could be online N400 filers. I was looking at the same block as ours IOE093109+ that were paper filings that same time as we did and changed a few days later like ours to biometrics appointment being scheduled.

So you're just making up stuff.

Those are not online filers. Case block for online filers don't start with 0.

Hello everyone!

Has anybody else received received an interview date already?

Here is my timeline so far:

3/21 - Case filed
3/21 - Receipt notice and biometrics reuse

Case currently under review. My office is the Harlingen, Tx. Center

Thank you and best wishes!

Omg I don't know what's going on, my field office is in Norfolk, VA. Filed online 3/31/25 and just now I got 4/16/25 interview scheduled????

It said it takes 6 months? I am so confused.

Edit: Interview is scheduled for 5/30/2025, just checked the document online

Edit 2: I filed as 5 year resident instead of the spousal one

Nice! Yeah, some cases move ridiculously fast. Did you apply 90 days early or you were at full 5 years when you applied?

Hi, I edited my original comment. I applied under the 5 year rule. Germany did not allow dual citizenship until last June, so I never had applied. And now with all the stuff going down I figured I'll just become a dual citizen to make things easier.
