Hi fellow March filers:

3/27 filed online. 3 year green card

3/27 received receipt

3/27 biometrics to be reused

3/28 estimated time 5 months

Ignore the last one. Many people either get things done real quickly or fall in that 20% whose cases take over a year. Mine says 3 months but I truly don’t believe it.

Filed N400 paper in Texas to Dallas lockbox. Received Mar 11. NOA Mar 14. Biometrics Reuse Mar 21. Fingers crossed.

I751 pending.

@CoastingtoAOS Was your paper N400 application a reduced fee or fee waiver? Or was it a full year filing?

03/12 - Mailed my N-400 package with a fee waiver to Elgin, IL Lockbox via UPS

03/14 - Package Delivered at the Front Desk and Signed by Robbins

04/01 - Case added to my USCIS online account

04/02 - Biometrics reuse notice added to my online account around 10 pm EST. I received the text with the case number around 4 pm EST.

@EarlyAnxious Is your N400 case priority date March 14 or April 1/ 2?

We filed a paper N400 reduced fee application to same IL lockbox and have similar timelines like yours.

Like you- the N400 case number magically appeared in our existing USCIS online account without needing to do anything (no text no email despite G-1145)

Not seeing a biometrics waive notice just yet but hopefully like you I'm hoping the biometrics reuse notice gets posted by tomorrow.

3/14- Mailed paper N400 for reduced fee

3/18- USPS delivered to USCIS lockbox

4/3- Credit card charge, case number shows up online with 3/18 priority date (no text no email)

Hey there! I'm glad that someone else has the same timeline I do.

Sadly, they still haven't added the receipt notice to my online account and it's too soon the get it through the mail. The only thing they added was the Biometrics reuse and a TIFF file with like 20 pages out of the 400+ pages if evidence that I submitted.

I'm assuming my priority date is March 14 because when the case showed up, it said "Case was received .... March 14". Then it changed to "Case is being actively reviewed" on April 2nd. That's when the biometrics reused notice showed up. So yours should be coming soon if the waived it.

Fun fact: The random TIFF file they uploaded to my online account with around 20 pages out of the 400+ pages of evidence I submitted has a bunch of numbers at the top (like they always do when they scan the documents). Those numbers show the date they actually scanned the documents. It says 031825 so they received it on 03/14 and scanned them two days later on 03/18. But they took two full weeks from the moment they were scanned to the moment they uploaded them to the case. But then again, my case had a full fee waiver so maybe that delayed the whole thing.

@EarlyAnxious Thank you so much for sharing your datapoints! Similar to you, the scanned paperwork that we mailed in was uploaded as a 30MB TIFF file the day after the case showed up online.

Interestingly this uploaded TIFF file did not include any of the filled out USCIS application forms not even the N400 but only the 19 pages of supporting documentation we mailed (green card scan, birth cert, marriage cert, IRS tax transcripts).

I do however have BAD NEWS to share- it looks like starting April, USCIS is discontinuing biometrics reuse for paper filed N400 applications thru the extreme vetting policy implementation.

Changing out the last digit of our IOE case number confirms that many other N400 paper applications who have also filed after usa are being sent in-person ASC biometrics appointments.

Given the current administration's immigration policies, I would not be surprised if online filed N400's in the coming weeks or months start going the same route of requiring in-person biometrics appointment, with the common sense biometric reusability policy starting to disappear altogether.

This is not unusual... USCIS doesn't upload everything to the documents tab

So another way to slow down everything. Great use of limited resources at hand.

Where did they say that?

I'm seeing a bunch of new cases with biometrics reuse for this week from the IOE093110+ block.

Updating where I'm at:

3/31 - DHL delivered to USCIS Texas lockbox

4/5 - Got an email about case update, now shows uploaded documents (all evidence, just not the N400 form itself), biometrics reuse, and confirmation letter

4/7 - "myProgress" started displaying this morning, and although I know to put no confidence in the timeline, it's showing 5 months.

Those could be online N400 filers. I was looking at the same block as ours IOE093109+ that were paper filings that same time as we did and changed a few days later like ours to biometrics appointment being scheduled.

I filled paper and got reuse. Is this theory published anywhere?

Hi all, My self and my husband submitted our N400 application on March 8th 2025, we had Bio Reuse on March 8th. Don't see anyone here from the Fort Myers Office, any suggestions on seeing the timeline for Fort Myers Fl?
