3/5 - Filed online (at night)

3/6 - Receipt notice and Biometrics Reuse (biometrics was done in 2015 during original GC application)

MyProgress says 5 months and currently says I'm on step 3 of 5 ('interview scheduled') but I haven't received anything to say I have an interview yet.

MyProgress estimate can be safely ignored. Some people saw "7 months" until decision on day of their oath. Others waited way longer than initially shown 5-6 months estimate.

Also, the visual part is very confusing. Current step doesn't mean it's completed, it means it's the next thing to happen. Especially if it's an empty circle, not filled with blue and checked.

Yeah, I suspect it's just poor wording on their part.  I'm trying not to hype myself up and don't expect anything until May or so...  Doesn't stop me from checking every day though...

I didn't expect anything for 6+ months after filing, got scheduled got interview earlier. Filing in December 2024, I thought my interview would be in July-August.

Many in my thread are still waiting. Many will be scheduled for interview after 5-6 months mark of waiting.

Good luck!

Good Day Y'all,

I have a few questions and hope someone could help me with the answers.

1. I am a K1 application and about to file N-400 being married to a US Citizen.

Residence since July 27, 2021 (with an extension since July 27, 2023) - even though the 3-year eligibility window has pass do I still apply as such or do I apply under the 5-year eligibility window.

2. Does my son who is a K2 (now 19 years old) apply with me or he has to wait for 5 years?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

You can either apply under 3 year rule now or under 5 year rule in 2026, the choice is yours.

The son is over 18, can only apply for N-400 in 2026 after 5 years of residence.

One more thing- Do we check since we became conditional GC holders in July 2021 or since extension July 2023? its sounds like a stupid question but need to know😐

Since you became a resident in July 2021.

Technically, there's no big difference between conditional resident and normal permanent resident in most cases, other than conditional has to remove conditions.
