3 days until Naturalization. Forgot to get certified tax transcripts.

I don't think the "certified copy" is even the official instruction. From what I remember, that's something printed on that flyer(https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/guides/G-1151.pdf), but is in fact not an actual requirement. Many people, including myself, were worried about the "certified" part, but I've never heard anyone getting an RFE because of it. 

The cynic in me suspects that this "instruction" is a tactic for discouraging immigrants from naturalizing.

Based on my AOS PTSD, I brought everything to the N400 interview... IO checked nothing! 🤣

You bring your tax return transcripts because paying taxes is part of "good moral character", and your transcripts show that you have filed and if you owe or not. So they should always be brought (federal and state, preferably), even if they sometimes don't look at them. I had already uploaded every single transcript in my online account, so the IO only asked to see the latest tax return I had brought with me to the interview. Since we had filed our taxes just a couple of days prior to my interview, there wasn't a transcript available yet. The IO scanned the entire 50-page tax return I brought.

its hilarious that one govt organization cannot access another govt organization (IRS) to lookup cause they have everything. We need a better integrated system.. ridiculous that they ask for transcripts though

In my opinion, it's better this way actually. So no single player in government can concentrate too much power in their hands... Checks and balances and clear separation of duties.
