3 days until Naturalization. Forgot to get certified tax transcripts.

Title says it all. Doing last minute document check and realized I don't have CERTIFIED copies! 🫢 Does anyone know a quick fix for this? Will my approval be denied without certified copies? I have the printed versions but not the version mailed from the IRS. Any help would be appreciated!

You should be fine with the printed copies.  Worse case is you get an RFE for certified copies, but I would expect that to be unlikely.

Typically those tax return transcripts downloadable from IRS website are sufficient. Just print them out.

I don't know of anybody that brought certified tax transcripts. We all just upload and/or bring the print-out versions from IRS website.

My husband just naturalized (under the 5 year rule), and we brought all printed copies of the IRS tax transcripts, dating back to our first year filing MFJ.  Nothing is "certified," just printed from our IRS account.  The officer did not ask to see any of it.

Thank you everyone for the replies! The replies are encouraging. When me and my wife first started this process we were so meticulous. I think I aged 5 years in the 10 months it took us to do our K1 lol. As time goes on we have gotten so lax with everything. Hopefully This is the finish line for us.

Same, after the initial petition/visa you kind of realize it's not THAT bad/difficult, and things feel easier and much less stressful. The N-400 is by far the easiest of them all.

I know, right??! I remember doing it and thinking "this is the biggest immigration benefit possible, and yet it sounds so easy!" My interview felt more like a casual conversation!

Tax returns aren't even a requirement at all for N400.  More like something it's good to have just in case since sometimes they might ask for them.  Printouts of downloaded transcripts are ideal.

If you actually read the fine print on the interview letter, it says you need to bring any evidence that was included in your application, so this would include the taxes.  

 

That said, they looked at exactly 3 things when I went - my interview letter with the form, my driver's license and my greencard.  That's it.

Yes, you should include any tax returns you submitted with the application and highly recommended to bring even if you didn't include tax returns with the application, but not a strict requirement unless you owe overdue taxes.

Every interview is different, but st mine - the officer didn't want a single piece of anything 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

That's a classic one. When you bring evidence - nobody wants to see it. When you don't bring it - officer is eager to request it. IMHO it's better be on a safe side and bring it VS get a derailed interview.
