b/c at the bottom of most applications, where the individual signs, there's normally something to the effect of "I declare that all information is true to my knowledge blah blah.."

i am not going to continue to petitioning him but my question that will the (CIC) tell (USCIS) about the polygamy i m sure he wrote that was single when he got married from the canadian one....

Then you definitely want to contact USCIS to pull your petition. CIC doesn't really talk to USCIS as far as I know. You will want to contact CIC as well (I would).

Good luck! And sorry to hear that things turned out so... awful.

The US and Canadian government do share info on Name checks. I saw a member get denied a visa because of a fraudulent visa application to Canada.

(10) MISCELLANEOUS.-

It sounds like you might want to let both petitions go through and see if anything bad happens. The problem is, is that there is no way he can have two proper marriage certificates because when he got "married" to her, he would have had to have been divorced from you first. What he did was illegal. So eventually, both parties (us and canada) are going to find out. Don't let it get to that point though. You could face very serious consequences if they think you are involved in some sort of shady deal here.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Why hasn't anyone said to divorce the cheating loser???

Have some respect for yourself. This guy is committed to two women? What makes you think he will always be there for you? He has another wife and possibly other children to take care of as well. Why don't you deserve someone to be loyal to you and to be with you and you only? Why would he stop at two wives? How many nasty diseases are you going to have to get before you realize that you're just one of the crowd? Get rid of him now.

GROSS......

But. In response to your question. They will do background checks on you, on him and his "other wife." Background checks are sure to turn up marriages.

Hi all

I am US citizen and married to Australian man ,i have realized that he has another wife (polygamy) that is canadian citizen and she filed for him for a permanent resident in Canada and i filed for K-3,CR-1 visa in USA,my question is will the both governments(USCIS and CIC) knows by themselves without my inform that he is attending a polygamy. :help:

I am going to assume this isn't a BS post. If it is- you need to seriously get a life.

A: You are supposedly the first wife and are the one who is "legally" married to him. Do you know this for a fact? How do you know there aren't others out there who were before you?

B: You are knowingly sponsoring a polygamist and it doesn't sound like you are 100% sure of getting rid of him. And he is also being petitioned for in at least one other Country that you know of. Is that the kind of guy you really want to be married to?

C: With all the background checks and info that will get pulled up on him- you are wondering if he can get away with it? I certainly hope not. I hope he never sets foot in the US and I hope even more he never sets foot in Canada.

couldn't agree more.

To the Original Poster: if you are withdrawing the petition, YOU have to contact USCIS. Forget about the Canadian side, that's not your issue. If you are willing to go through with the petition, I think (not sure) you must notify USCIS anyways, and yes, practicing polygamy is grounds for denial and ban afterwards.

Whatever you decide to do, it's your marriage, and your decision - I am not one for telling people how to live their lives, give free relationship advise or pass judgment. Tried playing God, and he wanted his job back ;)

Good luck, L. :goofy:
