Part 3, question 6 on the I-751 form reads:

Was a fess paid to anyone other than an attorney in connection with this petition?

Well, I am paying the USCIS $275 in connection with this petition and I think they fall in the "other than attorney" category.

However, my gut tells me to check "No", since I didn't bribe anyone and that's probably what they want to know.

But maybe not... Tricky, tricky government...

Not a trick question at all..

what they are inquiring is exactly that if you have paid anyone for services in filing this application.

Your process and what you have paid is connected to this application and process.. what they are looking for is if you paid a "3rd" party such as a lawyer.. or .. uncle.. or broker..

You should not be told that in order to apply you must pay to get the application. these applications are free only the filing fee incurred by USA Gov is what should be paid...

Unless of course you are having a Attorney apply for you then it is part of his services incurred.

No worries.. putting NO is what should be done.. unlesss of course you have paid someone.. other than US GOVMT

I normally just use the example forms here on VJ and that question was answered 'No'. I think they are asking if you used a special service to do the form it if wasn't an attorney.

Did you submit this before July 28?

You may want to download the newest form, forms older than February are not acceptable.

The fee is now $465+$80 for biometric fee. $545
