Hello all! My fiance's Interview in Manila, Philippines is this September 6th! :D I recently made up my Affidavit of Support and got my tax transcripts from the past three years from my local IRS office.

I'm including paystubs from both jobs I'm currently working at now and will soon get my bank statement. My fiance has pictures and receipts from my first and recent second visit to her.

For anyone who has been through this process already (particularly the Manila embassy) what is the interview like? What sort of questions may they ask my fiance and will they absolutely look at every requested form or just certain ones?

Also--my fiance knows english quite well so would it help her case to have the interview in english? I heard from somewhere that it streamlines the interview and involves less questions for her although I'm not sure if that is 100% certain.

If anyone has answers thanks in advance! :)

I was with my fiance at her interview in February. This is some of what I remember.

The first interviewer (pre-interview) was a Filipina and the second was an American. Both sessions were in English, which I believe is normal unless I suppose if the interviewee could not speak English well.

The first interviewer checked over all the forms. She asked my fiance for photos of us together and personal letters or cards. The first interviewer also asked me for the I-134 package. I gave them 3 years tax returns and they gave me back the 2 oldest years keeping only the most recent.

These are the questions I remember from the first interview:

She asked my fiancee when did we first meet.

She asked us both if we have ever been married and did we have any children.

She asked me how many times I visited there, how long did I stay, when did I arrive there for the current trip.

These are the questions I remember from the second interview (CO):

He asked her when did we first meet and what are my hobbies.

He asked her when is my birthday and how old am I.

The CO allowed me in the room but did not speak to me at all.
