I don't know about you guys and I don't want to trigger anyone and not sure if this is the right place to vent but I'm doing so bad and I'm scared. Idk if my relationship can keep going if we don't get approved this year, it's beyond the willingness to keep pushing. My partner and me are autistic individuals with BPD so every goodbye from visits is worse than the previous one, the depression hits like nothing else I've felt before.

We're working on trying to get a tourist visa for me to visit her because it has been so draining for her to go through all the airport process.

Any advice would help a lot.

I understand the sentiment a lot, it's a draining process to maintain long distance relationship sometimes, but as others have said, the wait will be worth it. Try to distract yourself in the meantime, don't dwell on negative feelings. Look forward to the moment when you will have your partner in your arms again. The time and effort you put in now will be recompensed.

I think it is very normal to experience grief at parting.

You might consider trying to recognize it as a testament to the strength of your desire to be TOGETHER as opposed to an obstacle.
You're both feeling it because it messes up your routines and comforts. It's a natural consequence of the lifestyle and relationship you have chosen.

Try to pivot your thinking a little here and view your visits as contained events.
Know they are temporary now, but will cease to be temporary in the future.

Express these feelings openly and discuss with your partner.

Secondarily - make plans. Make a digital date night and find activities you can do together over discord.
Livestream to each other, watch movies synchronously, play games together or apart but simultaneously. Tabletop Simulator is great for this, you could even involve mutual friends.

It sucks to be apart but there is a lot you can do to feel as close together as possible while we all wait this out.

Sorry, are you a US citizen with fiance in Mexico? Why do you need a visa? It's visa free access for up to 180 days.

If you're in Mexico and trying to get B1/B2, then you can try but don't be surprised if denied.
