Ok, so it seems that everyone's been tossing around the Can/Am Facebook idea. Has anyone started a group yet? If not then we could simply start a group and everyone could join. I just don't want to duplicate something that has already been done and I was too busy (self-absorbed) to miss.

CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS - I-130 petition for married sibling
2016

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

2024

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Note: I immigrated from Canada, not T&T - the timeline is reflective of this.


THE SAGA CONTINUES - IR-5 Story
I-130 for Parents - 2013
Aug ?? - mailed I-130 packages for both mother and father
Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

2020

Mar 20 - N-400 receipt date for my father
2021
Apr 21 - Biometrics appt.

2022
May 2 - Interview

May 20 - Naturalization ceremony

Can someone give me a feel for Facebook's ins and outs, please? It doesn't allow me to take a look at the site without registering. Or does it?..... I can't seem to find that access if there is one. :blush: (I saw a page where you can search for people but you have to enter your email address and PASSWORD????? Or is that for the people who have already registered?)

For instance, you apparently have to use your real name. Advantages? Disadvantages? Should you use your maiden name or your married name? Or can I use my soap opera name? :lol:

Are there any horror stories wrt this site? Things I should be aware of? I know I sound a bit paranoid, so I apologize. I just hate having personal information online.

Thanks for any insight you can give me. :)

You don't have to use your real name if you don't want to, you can use a nick name. But just like any website registration, you have to use a real email address so they can verify your account.

You don't have to put any information on your profile that you dn't want to. You can leave it completely blank if you want.

yes, taht is for people who have already registered.. your email address is your user name and you can make up any password you want....
