US embassies in Africa accepting immigrant visa transfers?

Hello, we are applying for CR1 through Kinshasa, DRC but the Kinshasa embassy has closed indefinitely due to unrest in the country. My husband was supposed to have his interview this month but it has been cancelled. We understand our only option is to transfer our case to another embassy that processes immigrant visas. We've written to a few but are not getting any that process transfers. Does anyone have experience with this and any recommendations of embassies that allow transfers of immigrant visas on the continent?

Since your interview is scheduled for the 26th and the closure (at this time ) of the embassy to the public, u can call nearby countries to see if they will accept a transfer of the petition.

this really is probably not the best course of action as it takes time (if another embassy accepts) to go thru the process of tranfering and meantime the DRC could open and you are stuck in limbo

 

You may find yourself waiting a few months for the interview in DRC but any transfer would be a few months or longer based on the workload of the foreign embassy.
