Just scan a copy of your marriage certificate. Keep the original

How about for the green card interview? I received the same request. I have the original and made copies. Do they need something else? Thanks in advanced!

Bring the original and copies for them to keep. When Jaycel and I got married and recorded the marriage license with the County Clerk, we got like 10 CTC (Certified True Copies) because they were like only $1.25 each. That way if we have an interview, we will bring the original and a CTC for them to keep if they want it. In my OCD mind :) that give them one less thing to issue an RFE at the interview for. I know a loit of people would consider that going overboard, but since starting this journey with Jaycel, our philosophy has been to take every action that is within our control to minimize any opportunity for the decision makers to be able to deny us the benefits to which we're applying.
