Hi everyone, i am new member and my fiance lives in Greece. I plan on going over there to get married and do our paperwork. I need some information on direct filing in foreign countries. Can I do direct filing in Greece and has anyone done their paperwork over there? :yes: Does anyone know the best way to file in Greece?

I don't know much about DFC... Just wanted to tell you to check the Direct Filing Consulate Forum. There are lost of good information there.

3/24/11 Received 10 year Green Card in the mail - Done. Feels good :-) 'till we do this again for US Citizenship.

12/5/11 mailed packet for Naturalization

12/9/11 was received by USCIS.

4/6/12 received letter for fingerprint appn.

4/23/12 9am fingerprint appointment - done :-)

4/30/12 Recieved Letter for Interview - Sche. 5/31

5/31/12 Interview & Testing

5/31/12 Testing Approved - Waiting for next step

6/21/12 Rcvd email, placed application in the oath sched. que :-)

6/25/12 Rcvd letter - Oath Ceremony is on 7/11/12 @ 9:15am :-)

Thanks all, I did alittle research too on the U.S. Embassy and turns out that they do direct filing. So thanks for the help.

Our story is a bit stale (we filed in Aug 2002) but should be of some use to you. See if you can't get in touch with the Immigrant Visa Unit first; they should be helpful.

Also, you will file the I-130 with the USCIS Field Office (inside the Embassy Building but not the same department as the Consular staff).

Will you be having a Big Fat Greek Wedding, or something else?

If you do not read Greek, I have some of the documents in English as well.
