I filed our I-30 form September 17, 2024. In October our estimated completion date was 4 months.  In November it jumped to 9 months, and now 6 months. I paid the fee and submitted all the required documents and photos, plus a few extra photos showing our 5 year time-line together. Is there anything else we can do to speed up the process? We got married in the Philippines in November 2023. But she works in Singapore and will be filing her request from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

reason to expedite (hardship on USC)?

if not,  just need to wait in out

she could ask for the criminal report now from Philippines if she does not intend to return there so u have copy of it for NVC and she has the original for the interview

What would be examples of a hardship? I have been waiting to have back surgery until she's here. I'm in pain everyday. I also may have to have surgery on my thyroid.

Up to USCIS but seems that could be good reason (just my opinion)

here's the site to try it with possible stated resons

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/expedite-requests

sincerely wishing you the best on the back surgery '/that shouldn't be put off as (as a PT) waiting for it makes the recovery harder

Thank you very much for taking time to respond. I will check that out. Have a great day.

You can use your (the USC's) medical issues as grounds for an expedite.  You will need proof of your issues (Drs. notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, etc.) to submit with the request.  Just keep in mind expedites are location specific, so if your I130 is currently at USCIS, you need to request your expedite there, then when the I130 moves to NVC, you need a new expedite request at NVC, and the same for the consulate (i.e. expedites, if approved, do not follow the petition through the entire process).

Good Luck!

Ignore the ‘My Progess’ tab completely, it’s never accurate. Current I-130 processing time is approx 16 months so assume around then unless you can get an expedite.

Best of luck.

I’m in a similar situation—married in the Philippines, and the spouse is processing through the consulate in Singapore. Like others have mentioned, you're looking at 16 months for I-130 approval. And that's if they don't move the goal posts further. When we submitted the I-130, in Sept 2023, the estimated wait time was at 10-12 months. We recently got the I-130 approved, which put us at 479 days of waiting.

The good news is Singapore embassy works fast. I've read that once you get DQ'd at NVC, the interview letter comes within 2-4 weeks. Hopefully that doesn't change.

Hang in there, and good luck!

Yeah, it sucks but it is what it is! People from Filipino Visa keep messaging to use them. But I haven't responded to them because I've already submitted everything required and then some. They can't make it go any faster!
