Hello Everyone,

What is the advantage of applying the paper form over the online application?

For the 3-year marriage-based N-400, does the online application allow for uploads of multiple files for bills, bank/credit statements, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. And it's cheaper.

Actually. Online fee 710 is cheaper than paper application fee 760.

I'm wondering if I missed any advantages that the paper application has over the online application?

That's what I said.

That's not an advantage for paper application being more expensive.

I'm asking if paper application has any advantage over online application?

I responded to your second question. Go back and check.

One advantage to filing online:  You immediately receive a receipt notice and (sometimes) a biometrics re-use notice.   We filed wife's (5 year) N-400 online.  It was easy and fast......no wasted time making paper copies.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Your "fee" will be even more if filing on paper.  You can another $10 (at least) for mailing cost....and you have to worry about delivery.

I was a skeptic about electronic filing, since my AOS and ROC were filed on paper. But after filing N-400 electronically, I can say it's more convenient.

The only reasons to file on paper is fee waiver or you have non-standard answers. Online form is strict about what you can type in answers to questions. Paper is more flexible in this regard.
