Hello all. New to the board. I was wondering on whether there are policies with the fiancee visiting the US during the K1 processing. If the fiancee is from Canada, is she allowed to visit the US as Canadians normally are? thanks

Yes, but without showing proof that your fiancee intends to return, its possible that your fiancee may be denied entry.

There is no restriction on travel. However, the foriegn fiance must show proof that they intend to return home and not remain in the US.

I'm Canadian and have just come back from a 1 week visit to the US. No problems at all. (We just filed for the K-1 last month.)

I have travelled back and forth to the U.S. with no issues while the K1 was in process.

Really depends which Custom official you get....some ppl ask when you will return, others don't.

Hi all, just a quick question. I'm going to visit my fiancée in september and I just wanted to hear from the ones who visited their fiancée, while the application was pending, what did you tell the officer? Did you say you were coming to visit friends, your girlfriend/boyfriend or you fiancé? I'll be bringing proofs of tie to my home country but if I can avoid being taken to the "back room" using the proper words I'd be ok with that! So feel free to share and please only share if you actually visited.
