Not near as big a problem as lying would cause. Arranged marriages are not a reason for denial but do often face somewhat more scrutiny of the bona fides.

In cases where both families are involved and it's cultural tradition for both families, that causes less of a problem than otherwise, right?

how is an arranged marriage less "bona fide" than another marriage? It isn't. It is quite normal in a lot of cultures, and quite a lot of couples over the years have gone thru VJ at some point or another who've had arranged marriages.

I'm sure the consulates in those countries are more than used to dealing with couples like you jatin, and if you're truthful at your interview and on the paperwork, there's nothing to worry about.
