Hello, I am very distraught following my medical in the US for my i693. I had my medical yesterday and as a K1 visa holder I have previously had a medical in my home country and was given a DS-3025 because I was missing my last 2 doses of Hep B so I was told to get these and bring them with the DS-3025 to the civil surgeon for them to mark off my vaccines. However during my medical I was told they will not accept the DS-3025 as proof of vaccinations because it does not have lot numbers on it. I tried to explain it is an official document and I was told anyone can fake it and it is not guaranteed the US Government will accept it. I know I am in the right here, is there anything I can do? They had not even heard of the DS-3025.

was your DS-3025 marked as complete?

with the HEP B vaccine USCIS only requires 1 dose, since it cant reasonably be completed within the time frame of applying for AOS.

that goes for all of the vaccines they require.

getting the rest of the doses of any of the vaccines is purely a personal choice

"Q.Certain vaccine series can only be completed with multiple visits to the civil surgeon. Am I required to complete the entire series?

A.You are only required to receive a single dose of each vaccine when you visit the civil surgeon. You are encouraged to follow up with your private health care provider to complete the series."

My DS-3025 is marked off as K Visa applicant electing not to be vaccinated at this examination. I was not asked if I wanted to get vaccinated as the place did not do vaccinations and it was the only one in my country. The doctor simply told me I needed 2 more doses of the Hep B and to bring those along with my DS-3025 to the civil surgeon. Unfortunately In my location there are only 2 Civil Surgeons, the one I went to and another one that charges an extra $300 for blood work so this was my only choice. I checked the report on my visit on the clinic online portal and they marked me off as not having the MMR and the Covid even though my DS-3025 clearly has them marked off. I feel like they screwed up from the beginning of my medical as the first thing the nurse told me when I went after they checked all the documents I provided is was that I did not have any vaccinations at all and refused to let me explain or ask anything.

This is why I always recommend completing all vaccinations overseas.

I did get fully vaccinated overseas. I had everything but the last 2 doses of the Hep B and the doctor told me to get them and bring them to the civil surgeon. I have every single thing marked off at the time of my medical except the 2 Hep B doses but my DS-3025 is not marked off as complete.

Good point!

On your DS-3025, @alg_ is box "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements" checked? If yes, you don't need I-693

It was not marked off as complete because of the 2 Hep B doses.

That's a bummer! You can probably write some sort of complaint and report the place to USCIS... Of course that could mean if USCIS stops recognizing them, applicants from your country will have to find other options...

that panel physician should have marked it as complete then, if that was all you were missing. having the full series is not a requirement.

since that is the case, you will either have to get your vaccine records from which ever doctor(s) you went to in your home country, and provide those to the civil surgeon in the states

or get the required vaccines again.

if you choose the latter, you are better off getting them at a pharmacy or a regular physician, to save yourself some money and not get them done by the civil surgeon

I showed my original vaccine records from my home country along with a translation, there was only a small issue. On my family doctor's vaccine chart (Eastern European country so not the most up to date on paperwork and stuff like that) there is no place to mark Mumps, there is only a Measles rubric. So my MMR was just marked there and the civil surgeon refused to acknowledge that I have the MMR even though it is marked on the DS-3025. I tried to explain but they did not believe me.

unfortunately you will probably have to receive all of the vaccines again in the US, or at least the MMR, if that is what the civil surgeon told you that you needed

and then try the medical exam and I-693 again

Yeah, this means either getting another MMR (typically it's safe) or doing antibody test (which may be more hassle and expensive).

If civil surgeon doesn't trust paperwork (and most won't), you don't have many options other than getting vaccines in US pharmacy or at civil surgeon's office.

The error is not completing your vaccines before your overseas panel physician appointment and bringing a completed vaccination record to them (seeing that they didn't do vaccines there) so all they would have to do was fill in the dates from your record to the D3025 and mark you as complete. They marked you as incomplete. You needed to come prepared prevaccinated.

It has nothing to do with not completing any series as only one dose of any is required (excluding Covid once upon a time).

If you don't have a complete vaccination record (not from your  D3025), you'll need to find a CS who interpretes DS3025 (not common) or just redo a new medical.

As others have said, completing the medical abroad makes everything smooth.

I called my overseas physician to get a list of the required vaccines when I made my appointment but I could not get the last 2 doses of the Hep B since they had to be spaced out. That's not an error. I had everything else completed. They should have marked me off as completed since there was not enough time for the last 2 doses.

You can file complaint against them, but it won't solve your current issue.
