I sent the 129-F on Monday 02/03/2025 and it arrived in TX on 02/06/2025. Have yet to received NOA1 but we are excited and looking forward to our future together in the states!

We already planning out unofficial ceremony and reception for her family, in her home country within the next few months. Keeping our spirits up and alive!

Good luck to everyone starting their journey, as well! :)

Congrats on sending the I-129F, I hope you have a speedy and uneventful process.

But you might want to search the forum for info about the risks of doing an ‘unofficial ceremony’ before you plan it too much!

Good luck.

Very excited for you but please, please, please, addend official ceremony with unofficial.  Not the other way around.

In other words, don't count your chickens.

I (and the others) implore you: Do not perform any ceremonies of any kind, official or unofficial, if you are going for a fiancé visa (K1).
This can end with a denial of the visa because you are "too married", even if you are not officially married (!)

Celebrate your relationship, but ensure that it doesn't even come close to looking like a wedding (so no special dress and suit, no walking down the aisle, no holding flowers, etc).

Reading is what? Fun-da-men-tal!
