I like F1 too but it used to be a lot more competitive years ago.

Yep.  Really getting bored watching Max run away from the field.  Most exciting part of the race is usually the first lap.  I feel like qualifying mostly determines the outcome.  Was going to go to the F1 race in Miami until I saw the CRAZY ticket prices.  Decided I'd stay home and for the same money by a huge 85" TV for the same price and watch the race and have something worthwhile after.

Where are those teams from?

Years ago I watched Aussie Rules football because it was one of the only "interesting" programs on early on a weekend morning.  Quit watching because I never figured out the rules.

Will say we visited Australia once about 10 years ago to visit a friend of my wife's.  Most of our time was spent around Sydney and a day trip to the Blue Mountains. A beautiful place and would love to go back, but the trip there from south Florida is horrible.

I remember when ESPN was just starting out, the used to show Australian Rules Football games overnight.  That was definitely a rugged sport, sort of a mix between rugby, soccer, and American style football complete with a goal judge dressed in a white coat.

Yes they did broadcast it a long time ago. Its a very fast moving game with great ball handling skills and extreme fitness required.  No “ prepared” plays to run … just get the ball at  the center bounce and move it  down the playing field  to score a goal. Repeat. 4 quarters of 25 mins each .. 18 a side ..  a very small number of extra players for each side .. so its full on from the first whistle to the last. Love it !

I agree. I also lost faith in F1 regarding how they implement rules especially after what happened with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in 2021.

Aussie Rules football [...] I never figured out the rules

They have to play while standing on their heads, because they're in the Southern Hemisphere.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Love a bit of Rugby League as well. Wigan Warriors but the NRL is on another level. I watched the Grand Final between the Penrith Panthers and Melbourne Storm last year.

I would like to know the name of one Rugby player who has his own full set of teeth.

Me lol although I have done ligaments in both knees and right ankle and cracked a bone in my right ankle. Also had concussion as well. I played a game in the UK just before I moved here and tore my diaphragm and bruised my ribs after a tackle lol

I keep contemplating playing for the local team here but not sure I will haha

Sheesh... you should strive to remain in as few pieces as possible!

My philosophy is, "If I'm healthy enough to exercise, I'm healthy enough NOT to."  So there.

Was a good game but I just like watching Nathan Cleary play. He is such a good player! I remember the old Melbourne Storm team when they had Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater

Oh yeah I definitely stayed on and kept playing. The adrenaline helped reduced the pain. It was the next morning when I woke up I could barely move haha
