So my norwegian passport expires in november 2025. My passport number is registered in my application, and I still have an active ESTA that is good until july this year. I will be visiting for 2 weeks in april, but the passport still has more than 6 months left at that time, so I assume that will be fine. My best bet is probably to get a new passport right as I get back, and luckily it will probably arrive pretty quickly after, I have had it in hand after a week previously.

Is changing the passport number at this point going to mess with my application or delay anything? The way I understand it I obviously have to bring it and leave it when I go to my interview in Stockholm, and then they put a physical thing in it to show my K1 visa, right?

I probably should have done this last year before I even applied for the visa, that was an oversight on my part. 😕

It shouldn't. If you haven't completed DS-160, you'd use new passport # when you file it.

If already filed DS-160, you just bring new passport to the interview.
