Hi guys, so I e-mailed my I -130 on February 5th. USCIS sent me a receipt notice, and have not been any more actions since then. Approximately how long after you submit I-130, do you get any more info? A month or two?

Also, what documents do I need to prepare next?. Let’s say USCIS approves and sends to NVC, what documents would they request next. Trying to get ahead a little and start preparing next needed documents.

thanks in advance.

If you've received your receipt notice, there's nothing more to do until your case processes.  You likely won't hear anything for a while.  Processing times according to USCIS are at about 16 months.

File that NOA, keep your login information for your MyUSCIS account and check it periodically.  Don't hold your breath when it gives an estimated processing time because they are typically very incorrect.

In this forum, we only have the written word for communication.  You did not "email" your I-130.  You filed it online.  Don't expect any update after the receipt notice, for about year.  Your petition is just sitting in a queue. Eventually, a human will "adjudicate" your I-130 for no more than 30 minutes.  You will then either get a request for initial evidence (if they think something is missing or they need more) or an approval or denial notice.  It's a black hole.  No is the time to do your homework on the NVC stage.  Specifically, become an A-Student of the I-864 and it's separate but excellent instructions.

Thank you for your reply. In addition to I-864 , what else does the NVC package entail?

Start by clicking on the word "Guides" at the top of any page here.  This is a "do it yourself" site. We are here to help with what you still don't understand AFTER you do your homework.  Relying on questions without doing the homework is very dangerous.  You don't know WHAT you don't know until you do the homework, so you won't know what to ask.
